The district wellness team hosted it’s 2nd annual Viking Fitness Poker Challenge. Teams of 4 staff members walked downtown Miamisburg to 5 stations. At each station the teams would do an exercise to receive a poker card. Best hand wins! Lots of fun and camaraderie.

Red Ribbon Week is October 23-31. This year’s Red Ribbon Celebration theme “Celebrate Life, Live Drug Free” is a reminder that everyday Americans across the country make significant daily contributions to their communities by being the best they can be by living Drug-Free!
Today marks the end of our first quarter at MMS. Students will not be receiving a paper copy of their grades. Parents are able to access grades via Progress Book. If you need help accessing your student's Progress book please reach out to their team teachers or grade level principal to get connected.

-Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Cross Country teams for their performances at both the Centerville Invitational and GWOC Championship during Fall Break. Of special note, at the Centerville meet Troy Mastronardi and Justin Reeder earned Top Finisher Awards and the Boy's Team brought home a trophy for their 5th place finish out of 24 teams. Additionally, Justin Reeder and Landon Kresge earned Top 20 in school history times. At the GWOC Championship meet, Troy Mastronardi earned All-GWOC Honors for his performance.

This year's out of school performances include: Sister Act, White Christmas at LaComedia, On The Town, Peter Pan, and Frozen. Also, Muse Machine members are able to be a part of the cast, orchestra, or crew for the upcoming Muse Machine Musical The Little Mermaid. -8th Grade Football beat Springfield 13-8 last night. Our defense played amazing. Jordan Clack had a pick and the D-line was excellent. Josh brodnick and Jameyion Bean both a had a rushing touchdown.

If your student sold items at our MMS PTA Fundraiser pickup will be Thursday, October 6 from 3:30-5:00. Items can be picked up in the MMS Cafeteria by way of the bus parking lot. Small items will be sent home with students on the bus. Before coming to pick up items please check in with your student to see if they came home from school with their items.
