On Tuesday, August 23, the Miamisburg Moose Lodge and the Women of the Moose Chapter 224 presented a check for $800.00 to Miamisburg City Schools along with a bin of collected school supplies. Spearheaded by the Women's Fraternal Activities Chair, the funds were raised during a "Sunday Funday" held at Moose Lodge on Central Ave. in Miamisburg.
The "Sunday Funday" was a social event with games and crafts for children, free food for everyone in attendance, raffles and additional fundraising activities. The goal was to have some fun while gathering school supplies and funds for the Miamisburg City Schools.
Presenting the donation are Julie Slivinski, Senior Regent for Women of the Moose Chapter 224; Ken Jewell, Lodge 1645 Administrator; and Jim McCord, past Administrator. Accepting the donation on behalf of Miamisburg Schools are John Espy, Treasurer/CFO; Dr. Laura Blessing, Superintendent; and Casey Hess, District Social Worker.
