MMS Announcements 10/6/22 -Students are you missing any personal belongings? Be sure to check the lost and founds located in the grade level hallway, front entrance and gym/locker room areas. All items in the lost and found locations will be donated to charity on 10/21. -The MMS gymnastics team is holding conditioning at the high school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday immediately after school until 4:30pm. A parent meeting will be held on October 19th at 6pm at the MHS Commons. -MMS Wrestling will start conditioning on Monday, 10/17. Conditionings will be held on Monday and Wednesdays from 6 to 7pm. -7th and 8th grade boys Open Gym Basketball will start 10/18 from 4:30 to 6:30pm. -7th and 8th grade girls Open Gym Basketball tonight at 6-7:30 he Middle School. All skill levels are welcome. That is 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball for our school this winter. Students will report to the library after school. -Page Turners Book Club will meet on Wednesday. This book club is open to all students in grades 6-8. Please join Mrs. Chalfant and librarians from both Miamisburg and Miami Township libraries every Wednesday from after school until 3:45 in room 332. -Do you enjoy music, dancing, singing, and the theater? If you answered yes, then Muse Machine is the club for you. Muse Machine is an organization dedicated to the arts. Students who join will see professional artists perform in school as well as be able to purchase tickets to out of school performances for a discounted price. This year's out of school performances include: Sister Act, White Christmas at LaComedia, On The Town, Peter Pan, and Frozen. Also, Muse Machine members are able to be a part of the cast, orchestra, or crew for the upcoming Muse Machine Musical The Little Mermaid. If your student sold items at our MMS PTA Fundraiser pickup will be Thursday, October 6 from 3:30-5:00. Items can be picked up in the MMS Cafeteria by way of the bus parking lot. Small items will be sent home with students on the bus. Before coming to pick up items please check in with your student to see if they came home from school with their items. MMS Daily Announcements 9/15 - Any students interested in 6th 7th and 8th grade student council must fill out and submit ONLINE GOOGLE FORM by Monday, September 26thl. This form was sent to student gmail accounts. All 6th and 7th grade students will be board members and do not need to run. 8th grade students will need to run for officer positions. Students who do not get an officer position will participate as Senators. 8th Grade Election Day will be Friday September 30th. -Fundraiser orders and money are due by September 16th. Please get these turned in ASAP -Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student interested in Ultimate Frisbee, please pick up a paper in the main office or email Mrs. Megan Weyer, 6th grade teacher. -Attention 8th grade families- There are extra DC discount cards. If you want to purchase more, please send payment to MMS (checks written to MMS/PTA) and have your student give the money and order to their social studies teacher. Remember, the money for the sales are sent directly to Martin Travel through their website. -The 8th grade football team defeated Northmount 14-0. Bryan Palmer had A rushing touchdown and a Passing touchdown. Josh Brodnick had a receiving touchdown with an amazing rum after he caught it. Jaymeion Bean had an amazing rushing game and our defense played outstanding. -The 7th grade football team won 14-12 last night. First Renner Vongsy threw a pass to Brayden Dafler and had a fantastic catch to set up Josh Williams with a 2-yard touchdown run. Then Tristan Bolden had a 30-yard run to set up a touchdown for Renner Vongsy to throw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Josh Williams. The defense also had an excellent game with an interception and multiple stops to help Miamisburg come out with the victory.
