The Miamisburg City School District (MCS) and the Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) are expanding their partnership to create and operate a Career Connections and Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Middle School Satellite program within the school district.
The initiative is designed to provide students with immersive experiences in STEM disciplines. Aligned with the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum standards, the program will offer a dynamic learning environment emphasizing hands-on exploration and problem-solving.
The satellite program also provides key career insights and technical skills for the 21st-century workforce, preparing students with the competence needed for post-secondary education or the job market.
“We are excited about this partnership with MVCTC," remarked Superintendent Dr. Laura Blessing. "Using our combined resources and expertise, we are able to offer opportunities for our younger students to build competitive job skills, boosting their future career opportunities.”
This program will begin enrolling students for the 2024-2025 school year, reaffirming Miamisburg and MVCTC’s shared commitment to education excellence, student success and workforce development.
