Student government will be hosting a “Unity in the Community” blood drive on Friday, November 11, sponsored by Universal I Credit Union and the Community Blood Center. Unity in the Community is a partnership between Miamisburg and West Carrollton High Schools to host blood drives and support local needs in the community designed to make everyone a winner and build unity by committing to a common cause.
Universal 1 Credit Union has pledged $500 to each school for hosting a successful CBC blood drive. Once the blood drives are complete MHS and West Carrollton HS will combine their awards and donate $1000 to a charity of their choice.
Students 17 and older can sign up online through this link now through November 7th to donate and must bring an ID at the time of donation. For questions, contact Mrs. Brockert or Mrs. King in room 415 or by email.
Students age 16 must have a signed parent/guardian permission slip presented at the time of donation to participate. Permission slips may be printed through this link, will be available on each class google classroom and in the Student Services. Click here for Community Blood Center Information.
MHS will be once again participating in the area’s Red Cord program where high school students can earn a red cord to wear at their high school graduation by attempting to donate blood at least three times in their high school career. May 1, 2023 is the cut off date for this year's seniors to earn their cord.
