Mrs. Elsass and her government students participated in a Scholar Exchange through the National Constitution Center. A federal judge from North Carolina and the NCC's Senior Director of Education held a Zoom meeting to discuss federalism and the separation of powers. Scholar Exchanges allow students to discuss constitutional topics with a lawyer, judge, or constitutional scholar and their peers from around the country. In this setting, students gain a deeper constitutional understanding and engage in enhanced civil discourse.
