In Miamisburg, we pride ourselves on our commitment to student success, innovation and community engagement. To guide our district towards our mission of excellence in education, we are excited to update the Miamisburg City School District Strategic Plan (2022-2027), which was developed through the collaboration of our students, staff and school community.
During the 2020-2021 school year, students, staff, parents and community members were invited to participate in different engagement sessions ranging from in-person meetings to goal-setting homework for students and departments. Using the feedback received from the sessions, the strategic planning committee met for a six-month period to solidify a plan for our district.
Thus, we developed a strategic plan with our mission statement in mind: The Miamisburg City School District will foster a positive, nurturing and safe environment to inspire and support ongoing learning and the development of individuals as productive members of society.
Aligning with this mission, MCS pinpointed five key focus areas:

Finance & Facilities
Safety & Sense of Belonging
