Three Destination Imagination Teams traveled to state competition earlier this month and maintained the incredible tradition of excellence for which Burg DI is acclaimed throughout the state! The elementary team from Medlar View Elementary School did not place but represented Miamisburg well with their creative challenge solution. The team Big Brain Time from Miamisburg High School placed second in the state. One Miamisburg Middle School team, The Judges Will Like This, placed second and received a Renaissance Award for the use of recycled materials and the innovative design of their roller coaster. Both teams placing second were invited to Global Finals where teams from over 100 countries gather in friendly competition but have chosen not to attend because they would miss Miamisburg's graduation ceremony.
We are so proud of all the team members and team managers for Burg DI! Any student interested in joining can complete an application at the beginning of each school year to be considered for team placement.
