Stacy Maney

Miamisburg, OH (April 23, 2025) - After a thorough search and interview process conducted by the Board of Education, Miamisburg City Schools (MCS) is pleased to announce Stacy Maney has been selected as the new superintendent effective Aug. 1, 2025, pending board approval. The Board will meet on Friday, April 25, 2025, during a special meeting to vote.

Guided by the district’s mission, the search began with stakeholder focus groups designed to shape the characteristics the Board and district were looking for in their next leader.

“Throughout the search and interview process, our Board focused on finding a leader who demonstrates a clear commitment to student success, values strong relationships, and can guide our district forward with experience and vision,” said Board of Education President Corey Dafler. “Maney stood out as the candidate who best embodies the qualities we were looking for. We are excited for the leadership and energy she will bring to MCS.”

Maneys’s background and experience stood out with her dedication to student success, strong and adaptable leadership and innovative thinking. 

Maney has an extensive background in education, earning her master’s degree in technology-enhanced learning from the University of Dayton. She has been the assistant superintendent for Lakota Local Schools since August 2023. Prior to that, she served as the Chief of Human Resources for Dayton Public Schools.

Maney also spent 18 years as a teacher, principal and executive director of human resources in the Dayton Public and Beavercreek City Schools.

Maney is ready to step into her new role as a Viking. “I am truly honored to be named superintendent of Miamisburg Schools and incredibly excited to join this vibrant community.
