The Miamisburg April District Student of the Month is Ellie Harris. Ellie was nominated by her teacher, Sarah Slamka. Mrs. Slamka said "It is my privilege to nominate Ellie Harris for Student of the Month. Ellie is a second grade student who exemplifies all four of our Mark Twain PBIS expectations by being respectful, responsible, a problem solver, and a peacemaker every day.

Ellie excels at being a peacemaker because she shows compassion to everyone she encounters. She is always willing to help others, whether it be assistance in the classroom, in the hallway, at recess, or special area classes. She is very respectful and cares deeply about the feelings of others. Ellie is a friend to all and offers a helping hand to any student or teacher in need.

Ellie shows responsibility daily in the classroom. From the moment she comes in, she jumps right into our morning routine. She reminds students of our class expectations and always keeps her desk and area clean. She is also always willing to volunteer to help with any task. Ellie is truly a pleasure to have in class!

For these reasons, and so many more, I highly recommend Ellie Harris for Student of the Month."
