ID of Gifted Students

Identification of Gifted Students
Miamisburg City Schools follows the identification of eligibility criteria as specified in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Rules for the Identification and Services for Children who are gifted. Children who are gifted are identified annually. Children in grades K-12 may be identified as gifted in one or more of the following areas:

1. Superior Cognitive Ability
2. Specific Academic Ability in one or more of the following content areas: Math, science, social studies, and
     reading/writing or a combination of these skills.
3. Creative Thinking
4. Visual or Performing Arts ability such as: Drawing, painting, sculpting, music or drama.
