2012 Season Recap

The Varsity Volleyball team competed in their toughest scheduled season to date, and ended the season with an 11-13 record.  The Lady Vikings played teams like Miami East (27-1), Lehman Catholic (21-6), Shawnee (18-4), Troy (#1 GWOC team) and Lebanon (#1 GWOC South Team).  The team took some higher ranked teams five sets. One highlight that stands out, is that all six seniors played (and won) a whole set on Senior Night… something they had not done since the eighth grade.  This season’s record does not reflect how good the team actually was,  yet several players were recognized with GWOC and District 15 awards.  This years Varsity team tied or broke fourteen (14) school records as an individual or as a team.  For the first time in the history of the program, the team had three (3) 1st Team GWOC players. 

The Lady Vikings placed 2nd in the Miamisburg Varsity Invitational.
